InsightTube ("we", "our", or "the App") provides tools that help users summarize, translate, and interact with YouTube videos using AI.
We respect your privacy and limit the amount of data we collect to only what is necessary to operate the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
We collect the following information when you create an account:
- Email address
- Authentication tokens (via Supabase Authentication)
This information is used solely for login and account management.
2.2 Video Processing Data
When you request video analysis, we store:
- YouTube video ID submitted by you
- Processed results such as summaries, chapters, extracted subtitles, or translations
These are stored in your account so the App can display them to you later.
2.3 Subscription Information
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions.
RevenueCat receives:
- App user ID
- Purchase receipts
- Subscription status
We do not store or access your full payment information.
3. What We Do Not Collect
We do not store:
- AI chat messages
- AI prompts or responses
- App usage logs
- Analytics events tied to your identity
- Device-level identifiers outside of what Supabase or Firebase handle automatically
Any data sent to AI models is processed in real-time and not stored on our servers.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide video processing features
- Display processed summaries or subtitles linked to your account
- Maintain login sessions
- Verify subscription entitlements through RevenueCat
We do not use your data for advertising or user profiling.
5. Third-Party Services
The App relies on the following third-party services to operate its core features:
- Supabase Authentication – user account login and identity verification
- Supabase Database – storing user-linked video processing results (e.g., summaries, subtitles, chapters)
- RevenueCat – subscription management and entitlement verification
- OpenAI API – AI-based analysis of text or video transcripts (we do not store prompts or responses)
- YouTube API Services – retrieving publicly available YouTube metadata
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) – delivering push notifications to your device
Each third-party service processes data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
6. Data Retention
We retain video processing results and account information only while your account remains active.
If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently deleted.

- Request deletion of your account
- Request removal of processed video data
